England won yesterday against Italy, but they weren't very convincing - they lacked shape, movement, basic skills, killer instinct, confidence etc etc. They have a good coaching set-up with some very inspirational people driving them. Also, the Premiership has, in my opinion, become more exciting than Super14, so these players are immersed in some very expansive and inspiring rugby - why can't this be translated by professionals into breathtaking performances for their country. I have one theory - As with the Football Premiership, there are more and more foriegn players, meaning fewer topflight places for eligible England players. A flimsy excuse, but a good discussion point! Does anyone have any views, other thoughts etc.
